Duration: 6 days for experienced and advanced riders

Cost: 2500 €,

  • 2 middle days, 1 horseback riding day, 2 riding days trip

               ( around 5-6 hours on the saddle daily)

  • 5 overnight in Hotel 4* , 1 overnight in Hotel 3*
  • free shuttle service with private car and driver from the train station to the Ranch and the apartment. 
  • Number of People: small group of maximum 5 people
  • it's possible customize your experience add hours on the saddle, fisher lakes entrance, walking guided tour and wine tasting.

  • non rider are welcome , with a little extra to add.

Nearest Airport: Fiumicino , Ciampino.

It's one hour driving from the airport to the Ranch , you can also easily reach the meeting point by train from Rome. It is possible to reserve shuttle service from the Tagliacozzo train station to the meeting point with extra cost to add.

FIRST DAY: Welcome, check in and dinner. We meet at the coffe shop to taste the italian cowboys aperitif. After a little briefing, we move from the to hotel for the check in and dinner at the restourant.

 

SECOND DAY: Daily ride. We meet at the ranch where after grooming the horses. We start riding along the "Cammino dei Briganti". We visit on horseback the medieval villages from S.Marie to Scanzano, we had a packed lunch in beautifull panoramas. After the return to the Ranch, we drive you to the hotel for relaxation, pools and dinner. 

 

THIRD DAY: Middle day with horses. We drive you to the ranch where we take care of the horses and than we start riding in direction of the medieval village of Cappadocia. We stop for a packed lunch in the field admiring the peacefully landscape of the mountains. We restart in direction to the Castle before the return to the Ranch. We drive you to the hotel for relaxation in the pool and dinner.

 

FOUTH AND FIFTH DAYS : Horse trip. Our meeting takes place at the hotl and the we drive you to the ranch where we groom the horses and embark on riding along the Cammino di Corradino. We arrive at  " La Dogana" with the stunning scenery of the westerns italian films. We restart riding in direction Pereto for the overnight at the "Il Cavaliere Hotel". The day after we reach the S. Trinity Sanctuary and after the packed lunch we return to the Valle Verde ranch. We drive you to the hotel at dinner time.

 

SIXTH DAY: Middle day. Relaxing ride to Verrecchie with it's ancient fountains and the Caves. After the packed lunch, we have a coffe at the fishing lake before the return to the ranch. The journey is finish full of memories and new friends.

    The place:

    Tagliacozzo is an enchantment, a "Magic City" in the heart of the Apennines. The entire history of the City can be experienced through its places, palaces, churches, fountains, obelisks and ancient streets in a concentration of traditions and typicality.

    Tagliacozzo, with its approximately 6000 inhabitants, is part of the most beautiful municipalities in Italy for its naturalistic and historical beauties. It is located in the western part of Marsica, about an hour's journey from Rome, along the slopes of Mount Civita at 740 m above sea level, near the ski resort of Marsia and the residential area of ​​Little Switzerland.
    The Imele river crosses the municipal territory giving its name to the geological park of the springs.

    Characterized by a Mediterranean mountain climate, with harsh winters and pleasantly cool summers. The rainiest season is autumn and heavy snowfalls are frequent in winter.

     

    What to bring

    We recommend wearing your riding boots when travelling and carrying one set of riding clothing and your helmet in your hand luggage, so should your luggage not make it to the destination you’ll still be able to ride. Please use the packing list as a guideline, bearing in mind the time of year you are riding.

    Currency & Tipping The local currency in Italy is Euro. Your holiday is fully inclusive and we recommend not to bring too much cash with you, just enough if you wish to buy drinks outside of mealtimes or souvenirs etc. Credit cards are accepted if you wish to book a massage or any of the onsite services such as a cooking course or bicycle hire. Tipping your guide is at your discrection

    Cancellation policy

    Holidays are confirmed with a 20% of deposit. The full balance is due 45 days before the start date.

    If you cancel your booking less than 45 days before the start date of your trail we are entitled to receive full payment, less refunds as follows:

    30 days or more before booking date - 50%

    less than 30 days - nil

     

     Insurance

    All customers are required to take out appropriate travel insurance that covers horse riding and holiday cancellation. Proof of insurance details will be required during the booking process.
