Duration: 5 days for beginners and experienced riders

Cost: 1800 €,

includes,

 

  • 4  horseback riding days: 3 middle days (2-4 hours on the saddle with trail rides or lessons) and one daily ride (5-6 hours on the saddle)
  • private or small group max 5 people
  • food and beverage included
  • 4 overnights in apartment
  • free shuttle service with private car and driver from the train station to the Ranch and the apartment. 

 

Starting time: every morning at 10.00 am.

Meeting Time first day : 6 pm, Coffe Bar "Peppino", Obelisco square n.13 , Tagliacozzo, Italy

It is possible reserve shuttle service from  the Fiumicino airport in Rome or from the Tagliacozzo train station to the Ranch with extra cost to add. 

 

First Day: we meet at the meeting point tasting a tipycal italian aperitiph, then after the leaving the bag in the apartment and a relaxing break , you'll be ready for the dicnner at the restourant.

Second Day: we meet the group of riders at the coffe shop and we move to the ranch to meet the horses. After feeding and grooming them we start the riding trail up to the hills around the ranch or we had a lesson of work in flat in the arena. 

Third Day: middle day ride. After grooming the horses, we start riding along the hills and the little lakes in Tagliacozzo. After the lunch at the ranch you have a free entrance to the fisher lakes for fishing and pizza dinner.

Fourt Day: daily ride. Today we ride up to the mountains where you can see wild animals and free heard of cows and horses in a madjestic panorama. Here we have a packed lunch and we enjoy the madjestic panoramas or the italian westerns movie. 

Fifth day: After grooming and feeding the horses, we have a middle day trail rides with pic nic included. The journey is finish full of memories and new friends.

    Tagliacozzo is an enchantment, a "Magic City" in the heart of the Apennines. The entire history of the City can be experienced through its places, palaces, churches, fountains, obelisks and ancient streets in a concentration of traditions and typicality.

    Tagliacozzo, with its approximately 6000 inhabitants, is part of the most beautiful municipalities in Italy for its naturalistic and historical beauties. It is located in the western part of Marsica, about an hour's journey from Rome, along the slopes of Mount Civita at 740 m above sea level, near the ski resort of Marsia and the residential area of ​​Little Switzerland.
    The Imele river crosses the municipal territory giving its name to the geological park of the springs.

    Characterized by a Mediterranean mountain climate, with harsh winters and pleasantly cool summers. The rainiest season is autumn and heavy snowfalls are frequent in winter.

     

    What to bring

    We recommend wearing your riding boots when travelling and carrying one set of riding clothing and your helmet in your hand luggage, so should your luggage not make it to the destination you’ll still be able to ride. Please use the packing list as a guideline, bearing in mind the time of year you are riding.

    • Warm layer such as fleece or woollen jumper for cool evenings

    •  Lightweight shoes for after riding
    • Sun cream & lip balm

    Climate:

    Abruzzo is located in central Italy where the summers are typically hot with plenty of sunshine. The hottest months are July and August when the daytime temperatures can sometimes reach up to 40°C. Spring and autumn are generally mild with mostly good weather. Temperatures during the day can vary between 15°C to 25°C. The annual precipitation is fairly low with most rainfall during the months from September to April.

    Currency & Tipping The local currency in Italy is Euro. Your holiday is fully inclusive and we recommend not to bring too much cash with you, just enough if you wish to buy drinks outside of mealtimes or souvenirs etc. Credit cards are accepted if you wish to book a massage or any of the onsite services such as a cooking course or bicycle hire. Tipping your guide is at your discrection

    Transfers can be arranged from both Rome airports for a minimum of 2 people. FCO Airport - €200 return CIA Airport - €230 return

    Cancellation policy

    Holidays are confirmed with a 20% of deposit. The full balance is due 45 days before the start date.

    If you cancel your booking less than 45 days before the start date of your trail we are entitled to receive full payment, less refunds as follows:

    30 days or more before booking date - 50%

    less than 30 days - nil

     

     Insurance

    All customers are required to take out appropriate travel insurance that covers horse riding and holiday cancellation. Proof of insurance details will be required during the booking process.
