DAY 1 : We begin our adventure with a welcome coffee and briefing, check into the hotel, and head to the riding stables. We meet the herd, groom and saddle up for the excursion with a packed lunch. Upon our return, after grooming the horses, I'll accompany you back to the hotel for relaxation, a possible dip in the pool before dinner.
DAY 2 : In the morning, after checking out, we head to the Ranch to meet the herd and take care of the horses. Then we embark on a new excursion or private lesson. We'll have lunch at the stables, and in the afternoon, I'll accompany you on a walk through the village of Tagliacozzo to enjoy a traditional Italian aperitivo. The holiday ends full of emotions and memories.
During the Summer ( from June to September ) , the Horse Sanctuary move the heard of horses to my father's Ranch in Abruzzo. Here I'll show you the beauty of National Park, with mountains and suggestive forests, medieval villages and Castles, fresh air , wildlife and great panoramas .
At the Horse Sanctuary we welcome everyone who shares a love for horses, whether you're an experienced rider or just starting out. Participate in caring for our horses, enhancing our sanctuary and promoting equine well-being. Choose from a variety of horse riding experiences, including basic trails for beginners with well-trained horses and lessons to help you learn the fundamentals or refine your technique. Don't be a tourist, live the chance to discover Italy as slow traveller!

The Area: Our center is located in the biggest archaeological area of Europe, the port of the Roman Empire and belong the beach and 15 minutes by car from the international airport of Fiumicino.

What to bring
We recommend wearing your riding boots when travelling and carrying one set of riding clothing and your helmet in your hand luggage, so should your luggage not make it to the destination you’ll still be able to ride. Please use the packing list as a guideline, bearing in mind the time of year you are riding.

Climate:
Rome is located in central Italy where the summers are typically hot with plenty of sunshine. The hottest months are July and August when the daytime temperatures can sometimes reach up to 40°C. Spring and autumn are generally mild with mostly good weather. Temperatures during the day can vary between 15°C to 25°C. The annual precipitation is fairly low with most rainfall during the months from September to April.

Currency & Tipping The local currency in Italy is Euro. Your holiday is fully inclusive and we recommend not to bring too much cash with you, just enough if you wish to buy drinks outside of mealtimes or souvenirs etc. Credit cards are accepted if you wish to book a massage or any of the onsite services such as a cooking course or bicycle hire. Tipping your guide is at your discrection

Cancellation policy
Payment & Cancellation Terms .Holidays are confirmed with a 20% of deposit. The full balance is due 45 days before the start date.
If you cancel your booking less than 45 days before the start date of your trail we are entitled to receive full payment, less refunds as follows:
30 days or more before booking date - 50%
less than 30 days - nil
Insurance
All customers are required to take out appropriate travel insurance that covers horse riding and holiday cancellation. Proof of insurance details will be required during the booking process.
